*this is not the treatment - it will be posted in a few days
Does anybody really know what a "treatment" is anyway?
Meanwhile, here are some notes from Spring '03

·  A treatment of the script - for the screenplay "The Instant Messenger" movie from the Director's notes, by P.E. Tascionti The movie is all at once: a sci-fi, a utopian fantasy, a romance, an action/drama, and a prophecy. It will run approx. 2 1/2 hours. It has a full-blown musical soundtrack, with several original songs, specially recorded for the movie. It uses the device of an Instant Messenger chat client, which will periodically appear on the screen, floating around, adding narration/subtitles to the story. In the DVD version, it will be semi-interactive. In the simultaneous website debut, it will be very interactive. The movie is an elaborate commercial for the larger vision of Silver Spring Studios. Our mission statement announces: We are pushing the limits of technology development. We will be the organization which produces the actual "virtual reality" of the future. We will endure ad infinitum, even as a colllective entity in cyber space. Keeping perspective that this premiere is a modest stepping stone to more substantial projects. Supplementary advertisers (who will provide the majority of the finances) within the movie, are under the auspices of this main principle of the Studios' master plan. They are featured in such a way as to blend in with the plot and action flow - intertwined, one depends on the other. A tactful utilization of computer graphics and special FX will be add sensation to the visuals and audio. Most importantly though, this is a movie driven by the dramatis personae - great performances by an awesome cast. The chemistry and coherency of their interactions will be unparalleled - as a first-time director who has the nerve to pull off "this stunt", I demand it. Our actors are the best and will be around for posterity. After all they are the finest colors and pigments to ever embellish a cinematic canvas. And what a scene it is - the story has consistently impressed the most jaded critics. Even though, very little of the actual screenplay has ever been revealed. That is about to change. People want to know if it's well-written? Is it a decent story? Well, this is an epic saga that was handed down to me in a revelatory dream... I am merely the messenger.
